The Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia Movimento de Reforma de Atibaia held, on Sunday, 11/10/2026, a Health Fair that brought together solidarity actions, promotion of well‑being and evangelism. The initiative was coordinated by the Department of Social Assistance of the Associação Nordeste Sul Paulista (ANESP), under the leadership of brother Robens Vieira, and involved the mobilization of members of the local church.

Solidarity from the early hours of the day

The program began in the morning with the activities of the Semear Project, dedicated to serving people experiencing homelessness and social vulnerability.

Through the distribution of food and gestures of welcome, the volunteers sought to meet immediate needs and demonstrate, in practice, the Christian principles of love for neighbor and service to the community.

The participation of church members highlighted the congregation’s involvement in initiatives aimed at caring for people facing social difficulties.

Health Fair brings church and community closer

Subsequently, the Health Fair was held, offering the population consultations, guidance and care related to health and well‑being.

In addition to the services provided, the program created opportunities for closer interaction between the church and local residents.

During the event, dozens of people were registered for possible follow‑up contacts. The initiative may foster new visits, strengthen friendships, and enable Bible studies with those who show interest.

Thus, the Health Fair integrated meeting the community’s needs with the evangelistic activities carried out by the church.

Mobilization and leadership support

The execution of the program involved the volunteers of the Atibaia Church and the support of ANESP’s leadership.

The local church expressed gratitude for the presence, dedication and collaboration of the Association’s representatives, highlighting brother Robens’s contribution in coordinating the activities.

The participants’ involvement was essential for carrying out the social actions and the services offered throughout Sunday.

Faith demonstrated through service

The program also highlighted the relationship between Christian faith and commitment to the neighbor. This perspective is grounded in James 1:27, a biblical passage that emphasizes the importance of caring for people in need.

For the local church, the experience reinforced the value of initiatives that combine solidarity, health and evangelism, creating opportunities for closer engagement with the community.

With the event’s conclusion, the possibilities remain for continuing the contacts established during the event, especially through visits and Bible studies.

The missionary activity represents another example of how social actions can contribute to the church’s mission, uniting meeting human needs with the presentation of the Christian message.
